A to Z Blogger Challenge: Letter B

BLEEDING BLUE

Today's post has nothing to do with anything but my pure unadulterated love for the Kentucky Wildcats. If you know anything about me, you know I love UK. And if you follow college basketball at all, you know they've made it into the NCAA final championship game (happening tonight for anyone who cares) and I couldn't be more thrilled for my Kentucky boys!!!! So besides the fans burning couches and taking the celebrating a bit too far, I love living in Kentucky right about now. What can I say? I'm proud to be BLEEDING BLUE!!!
GO UK!!!!
What about you? Do you follow college basketball? Were you rooting for a team to make it into the championship game?

Most of my life I didn't care about basketball. Then I went to college in Lexington and my blood turned blue and I was very confused, but I've long accepted it. Yay UK :)

I used to really follow college sports but just lost interest (or time) as kids and jobs and life crept in. Where I live, the bleeding blue is over BYU or U of U.

Stopping by for the A to Z challenge. I don't follow basketball but I love how you incorporated your passion for your team into the challenge. :)

I am so NOT a sports person, but I enjoy the enthusiasm of others!

I second what Brinda said! ;) We're not huge sports people in our house! But I admire people who can play because I'm completely uncoordinated.

How exciting!

I don't follow sports much these days, but while in school I loved attending basketball, football and hockey games. When a whole community rallies around the team, it can be so fun to join in. Hope your UK team wins!

I love me some basketball!
The love interest in my adult contemporary romance plays professional basketball. I think it's their big hands and feet. You know what they say... :)

UK beat IU - but I will root for them tonight. Love the March Madness!

I enjoy basketball but haven't been able to keep an eye on the brackets for the men or the women. I don't have a particular team I'm rooting for so much luck to the Wildcats :-)

I don't really follow sports at all, unfortunately. So glad for your team, though! :D

I've always liked basketball, but I don't have a team I particularly like to watch. But if Pittsburgh had a basketball team, I'd definitely be a huge fan!

I'm a Buckeye to the core and my Bucks really let me down losing to Kansas on Saturday. Good luck to your Wildcats, I think you have it in the bag tonight!!

Love your enthusiasm. I played basketball in high school and loved it. My previous boss lived in New Castle, UK and was absolutely bonkers about Football (UK style). His favorite was someone called Shearer, I think. My favorite sport is hockey; saw Wayne Gretzky play in Edmonton. What a thrill.

I'd rather watch plaque form on teeth than basketball. (And as a dentist, I do mean that, literally)

I don't follow College Basketball, but what the heck--GO UK!

I follow the U of M (Michigan) vs. MSU football game. It's a HUGE deal in Michigan, my home state.

I'll root for blue tonight though.

I went to WVU. We were blue, too. :) It's good to have something to be passionate about.

The hubby and I bleed blue and gold for U of M in pretty much every sport (even if they stink at one). :)

I don't watch sports. Who has time? Still, I can appreciate the attraction. I used to root for a team with the same colors....

Woohoo, Kentucky girls! I bleed red for the Cards, but tonight? Totally purple. :)
We had the opportunity to be in New Orleans this weekend, and it was incredible. Nothing better than seeing the whole state of Kentucky, Cards and Cats alike, bustling around the streets of the Crescent City. It was the most exciting thing. I was wearing a UofL shirt (like ya do), and some drunk guy on Bourbon Street said he was sorry my team lost and asked, "Who're you gonna root for now?"
I said, "UK, of course. It's my home state!"

:)

Go Cats!

Oh, what a kindred spirit you are.

We won!
And hooray for A-Z-ing!

Oh yeah, Wildcats. U of K was the first college campus I ever set foot on. I have to stay loyal to UCLA, but the Wildcats always have a special place in my heart. I'm braving the A to Z as well. It's fun.
