A to Z Blogger Challenge: Letter S

SHOWS
There are times that I wish I could say I was above sitting my butt on the couch at the end of the day and vegging out infront of the TV. Maybe instead I could be writing, or writing or, I don't know...writing. But I'm just not that cool. I'll just say I'm gaining inspiration. How about that?

Here are my favorites:

American Idol
Yes, I think the group-singing is the cheesiest thing since velveeta, but individually these kids are killing it!
My favorites:
Phillip Phillips (that is his real name) and Skylar Laine

Not only can these southern cuties rock out, but I love them so much they have been the inpiration for my MC and protag in a southern, magical realism piece I've been working on. Told you I'm gaining inspiration.

      The Voice
Aside from the fact my hubs can't peel his eyes away from Christina's boobs hanging out on almost every SHOW (Who are we kidding, I can't either. It's quite the distraction). There is some major talent on this SHOW.
I still like too many to pin down just two yet.

Vampire Diaries
I don't want to like this SHOW, so I don't. I love it!

The Fringe
Eventhough my brain sometimes feels like it may internally combust after watching this SHOW, I can't get enough.

The Walking Dead
I know the season is over and some of the SHOWS drove me absolutely batty this year, but it is still one of my favorites.

Parenthood
This SHOW just proves that I do like reality too.

That's it. I'd say that's enough. I want to like some comedies. I really do. But for now I guess Walter Bishop's sanity on a string will have to do.

What about you? What SHOWS do you like, if you like any at all?

This is the first year I haven't watched AMERICAN IDOL since the beginning. We got rid of our cable TV. However, we do still have Internet so we've been enjoying THE FIRM. I'm a big Grisham fan and was so excited to see they post the episodes online. ^_^

I don't get to watch network TV, just have Netflix so my shows are most TUFF Puppy, Power Rangers or whatever my kid is watching. Yeah, I just pay the bill lol!!!

Oh my gosh, I watch a couple of those shows and I can't get enough! I started watching Walking Dead like two weeks ago and I've already caught up. It was freakin' awesome!

Enjoyed your post! I'm a big Idol fan too, and used to watch The Voice. Then Dancing With the Stars came on and I dropped V. like the proverbial hot potato. I'm so fickle.

I have a granddaughter that is enamored of Philip Phillips. To me, his voice is far from the best one on the show. He is a cutie, tho'.

I'm hooked on The Borgias, Dexter, Game of Thrones, Glee, and How I Met Your Mother.

My favorite shows are a big juxtaposition. I'm a huge fan of Jerry Springer and have a love-hate relationship with Maury (seriously, dude, stop always taking the woman's side and comparing your adopted child to a child passed off for years as belonging to the wrong father!), and love (in a horrified, snarkailicious way) MTV's Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant. And I love shows on the educational channels, like Discovery, Discovery Health, TLC, History International, and Food Network. One of my favorite educational shows is Untold Stories of the ER.

Our family is all about the Voice. And I'm pleased that Xtina has toned down the cleavage the past two shows. But how could she give up Jesse???? Really??

I don't have TV reception or cable so rely on Netflix. But I love The Walking Dead, Mad Men, The Wire, Breaking Bad (though it gives me anxiety), and Glee.

Glad to see Parenthood on the list:):) Did you hear it's in danger of being canceled? I hope it's back--although I haven't had time to watch TV or do much of anything lately:( I also love The Fringe! I had a cult-like addiction to Alias when it was on and their mind blowing plots reminds me of that show. I also don't have cable, never have in fact, so some of the others I've never watched. Although Netflix would be good for catching some of those . . . if I only had the time *sigh*

Mostly PBS here, but you don't have to watch from the couch. I keep my stationary bicycle set up in front of the screen.

Parenthood! I thought I was the only one who watched that show. None of my friends watch it, but I think it's amazing. I love all the relationships between the family members.

I'm hopelessly devoted to The Walking Dead. It's almost sad how much I love that show.
